Hindu American Seva Communities
In 2017, Fellowship in Prayer awarded a Sacred Journey Grant to Hindu American Seva Communities (HASC) to help them develop and print their “UtsavSeva Manual;” organize and conduct Seva training sessions and Leadership workshops; promote Seva Challenge events; and promote National Seva Challenge Day. The goal of these programs is to enable youth to develop a spiritual orientation towards life through faith based Festivals and Community Service opportunities held throughout the year.
ABOUT HINDU AMERICAN SEVA COMMUNITIES
HASC is a progressive American organization advancing seva (community social responsibility), pluralistic interfaith collaboration and social justice to make sustainable civic engagement a defining part of Hindu American life and culture. HASC is working to ignite grassroots social change and build healthy communities and coalitions while strengthening Dharmic places of worship. Through education and policy changes it seeks to bridge the gap between US government and Hindu and Dharmic people and places of worship.
