Temple of Understanding

In 2016, a Sacred Journey Grant was awarded to Temple of Understanding by Fellowship in Prayer to support the education of students through their United Nations Summer Internship Program.  Fifteen high school and first and second year college students spend five intensive weeks in NYC to learn about the United Nations, visit religious sites, engage in service projects, research a topic they are passionate about and give a presentation on their research.

The Temple of Understanding focuses on developing religious and cultural diversity, education for global citizenship and sustainability, expanding public discourse on faith and ecology, and creating just and peaceful communities.
